Eighty Ninety's debut single "Three Thirty" — a hook-laced, hypnotic message to a past love — quickly reached #2 on Spotify's Global Viral Chart and #23 on Billboard's Velocity Chart after its independent release. Songs from their moody, romantic 2016 debut Elizabeth have garnered over 15 million streams and have been featured on Spotify playlists including New Music Friday, Pop Rising, Fresh Finds, Viral Hits, New Indie Mix, Weekly Buzz, Relax & Unwind, Mood Booster, MTV Radar and more.

Brothers Abner (vocals, production) and Harper James (guitar, production) fuse intimate storytelling, sticky melodies, and minimalist pop productions built on acoustic instruments and electronic sounds in a style they call “808s and telecasters”. The band took shape in a one-room studio in Brooklyn in 2016, in the wake of another collaboration: Abner often works as a director and photographer with artists and bands whose music Harper produces. Following one such project, the brothers decided to blow off some creative steam, and spent the night writing and recording a track of their own. The result was “Three Thirty” — and after listening to the song the next morning, they decided to make the project official and began work on the Elizabeth EP.

The EP’s success saw Eighty Ninety featured on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, and a second single, “Heartbreaker”, make waves on international viral charts. The band’s self-produced and directed music videos premiered in publications including Ones To Watch, Galoreand Local Wolves while Abner and Harper turned their attention to building out the band for live shows, performing at New York venues like Music Hall of Williamsburg and Mercury Lounge.

In September 2017 Eighty Ninety announced their upcoming EP Bowery Beach Road and released its first single, nostalgic indie-pop anthem "Your Favorite Song" which featured on Spotify playlists Indie Pop and Chill Vibes.
